100 Best Fleets of North America

The City of Little Rock Fleet Services Department has received National recognition as one of the 100 Best Fleets of North America since first applying in 2006. With 38,000 public fleets eligible, we are quite proud of this accomplishment.

Department Mission Statement:
It is the mission of the City of Little Rock Fleet Services Department to provide cost efficient, quality vehicles, work equipment, vehicle storage, fuel, and other fleet support services to our customers in a timely manner, while being responsible stewards of our natural resources and the tax dollars of the citizens of Little Rock.

Services Provided:
The Fleet Services Department is responsible for management of all vehicles and motorized equipment in the City's fleet. The City owns approximately 1,100 fleet units, which are purchased, fueled, maintained, repaired and disposed of by the Fleet Services Department. This Department operates two (2) vehicle maintenance facilities and eight (8) automated fuel sites, in addition to a large Vehicle Storage Facility that operates around the clock.

Fleet Services provides loaner vehicles for down units, courtesy vehicles for use by City Departments, fueling services, repairs and maintenance for all City fleet units. Rental vehicles are also available to City Departments for short-term and seasonal needs.

Fleet Services also provides impoundment services through the Vehicle Storage Facility. This facility offers a weekly auction of abandoned and unclaimed vehicles, as well as City fleet units that have been removed from the City inventory.
