WHO: Approximately 80 high school students, Meadowcliff Brookwood Neighborhood Association, Broadmoor Neighborhood Association
WHAT: As part of a Day of Service, approximately 80 Central Arkansas Christian Schools high school students will participate in a Boyle Park clean up. Students will collect litter in parking lots, on asphalt trails, roadways and along mountain bike trails.
Located near the intersection of the western and southwestern neighborhoods of the city of Little Rock, Boyle Park is an approximately 250-acre tract of largely unimproved woodland donated to the city by Dr. John F. Boyle in 1929. Located thereon are a total of eight known examples of Civilian Conservation Corps construction, all of which were designed and built in the Rustic style that characterizes their architectural projects.
Today, Boyle Park is one of 60 parks and recreational areas managed by the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department. It is filled with trails, playground equipment and largely unspoiled urban forest.
WHERE: Boyle Park (City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation) located at 2000 Boyle Park Road, Little Rock.
Students will gather at the pavilion located at this address which is adjacent to the pond and playground equipment.
