The concept of this festival is to enrich the lives of people with disabilities and their non-disabled peers by encouraging creativity through the arts. With the community’s resourcefulness they provide hands on activity opportunities to increase self-esteem and confidence by encouraging socialization in an inclusion environment.
Presented by Little Rock Parks and Recreation, Arkansas Children's Hospital, Little Rock Convention and Visitor Bureau, National Seating and Mobility, Arkansas Disabled Sportsman Association, and Arkansas Therapeutic Recreation Society
Golf -- TBA
Teaching children how to set goals, develop leadership skills, and accept responsibility represents a portion of the skills that can be learned through golf and applied to other aspects of a child’s life. $20.00 (This will give the participant a full year membership to First Tee of Arkansas)
Summer Day Camp -- TBA
Summer Day Camp offers fun recreational activities for people with special needs and their sibling/friends. Activities will include swimming, field trips, arts and crafts, and more. Participants must be independent with personal care. Limit of 12 participants. $25.00
Community Outings
Join us as we visit various places in the community. We work on leisure awareness, socialization, independence skills as well as have a great time! Bowling, skating, sporting events, dinner and more. Prices vary according to activity.
