Adult Softball in Little Rock

Welcome to the 2013 softball season with Little Rock Parks and Recreation. Our summer season is going to begin in the second week of April. Our fall season will begin in September. We look forward to another exciting season of adult softball at Interstate Park and Reservoir Park.
New for the summer of 2013 will be a Co-Ed Division which will be played on Monday nights. The Men’s and Women’s divisions will continue play on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All games will be played at Interstate Park, with the exception of the Men’s Over 30 division, which will be played at Reservoir Park.

Opening day for the Co-Ed Division is Monday, April 8. Opening day for the Men’s and Women’s Divisions is Tuesday, April 9. Game times for all divisions will be 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30.
We are moving to an online registration process. Following are the steps to take to register a team for the Summer 2013 Adult Softball League.

1. Click on the “Team Registration” tab on the right-side of the page
2. Select “Register” under 2013 LRPR Summer Adult Softball
3. Select the division that you would like to register your team for
4. Follow the instructions and complete all required fields to register your team
5. Your registration is complete after completing the payment portion of the registration and 
   receiving a confirmation e-mail stating that you have completed the registration process.
6.Once you have completed your registration, you will receive an e-mail from Little Rock Parks &  
   Recreation with a team roster form which needs to be completed.

You may register your team from Monday, March 4 through Wednesday, March 20. Rosters will be due on Friday, April 5. All rosters must be submitted on the official LRPR Softball Roster form, and must be signed by each player on your roster. Rosters are limited to 25 players.

Registration costs for a team remain $450. There is a transaction fee (credit card processing, etc.) that is added to the final registration amount and is reflected in the listed price.
For the second year, the Little Rock Parks and Recreation adult softball program is going to be affiliated with the National Softball Association (NSA). You can go to www.playnsa.com for more information on the NSA and to see their list of legal equipment.

As you will see when you visit Interstate Park, we are making a number of improvements in the restrooms and concessions areas. The restrooms in both the north and south complexes are receiving brand new fixtures, plumbing, paint, lighting and floors. The concession stands will also be completely renovated. These renovations are on-going and we ask your patience as we work to complete these as quickly as possible.

The upstairs scorekeeper areas are also being painted and cleaned up, with new lighting and ceiling fans in place. We will be utilizing the large bulletin boards in these areas to post schedules, results and standings throughout the season. Also information about upcoming tournaments and contact information for the park and our advisory committee will be posted.

As always, we want to hear from you. This is your league, so we want to ensure that you and your teammates are having the most enjoyable and fun experience possible.
