Inclusiveness on Boards and Commissions
It is the goal of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, that the Mayor, with confirmation by the City Board of
Directors, shall make diligent efforts to appoint citizens of Little
Rock to City Boards and Commissions so these bodies meet the goal of
inclusiveness by reflecting the diversity of our City, recognizing that
this goal may be impacted by Board and Commission positions that are
designated by professions, organizations or by Ward representation.
UPDATE: Applications for all City's Boards and Commissions can now be submitted at any time, whether or not there are current vacancies. All applications will be kept on file for two (2) years and in the event a vacancy occurs on the Board or Commission in which you applied, your application will be forwarded to the Little Rock City Board of Directors for consideration.

MacArthur Military History Museum Commission
The MacArthur Military History Museum Commission was created by Ordinance #16,800. Each of the Commission's twenty-three (23) members serve two (2)-year terms. The duties of the Commission are to develop a mission statement for the museum, to annually review the needs of programs that enhance awareness of the military history of the City and State and to initiate, sponsor or conduct with other public/private agencies, public awareness programs to further the consciousness of the City's and State's military heritage. Members are appointed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors. The Commission must always include at least two (2) military veterans on active duty, honorably discharged or retired from the service.
The commission meets the second Thursday of odd-numbered months at 4:00 PM in the Arsenal Building in MacArthur Park at 503 East 9th Street.
