Application Process:

Can I apply on-line for a job?
Yes.  You may apply on-line for positions that require an application. Click here to apply online.
Should I follow–up to verify that my application has been properly transmitted?
Log in to the on line system to verify that your application has been submitted and that all portions have been completed. Under the Applicant Menu, click on 4. View or Update jobs you have applied for. Clicking this link will show all job titles that you have submitted application documents for in our system. You can delete a position here if you mistakenly applied. You will receive email verification when your application documents are actually processed. We try to process completed applications BEFORE the closing date; however, when application volumes are large, this may not be possible. It is your responsibility to make sure that your documents have been entered correctly. If you are in doubt, please call 501–371–4526 BEFORE the closing date for additional help in applying on line.
May I insert my entire resume into the City’s on line resume builder?
Your resume will appear in the “best format” if you “build” your resume with unformatted text. Inserting an entire “preformatted” resume into the Job Objective does not result in the best looking resume format. Your electronic resume will be viewed by the hiring authority. You are advised to go back and proof your entries in order to receive the “best” resumeé results.
Does Little Rock Human Resources accept faxed applications?

If requested, does your office fax applications to individuals ?
No. However, the application is available on our web site and in the Human Resources office.
Are applications and/or resumés kept on file in your office and retrieved for subsequent job postings?
Electronic resumes stored by you on our secure website may be accessed by logging into our secure on line application website and the information reused to apply for future job openings. Tip: If you re–use your resumé, please remember to update your resume template BEFORE applying. Paper resumes and applications are not kept by this office for your later retrieval.

A list of applicants who have been assessed as qualified for a position based on testing or information provided in written form by the applicant.
I applied for a job with the City last month; will I need to complete another application to apply for another job?
Yes. However, using the on–line application system allows you to retrieve your resume via the Internet to use in applying for another job (it may need to be updated). However, if you submit paper copies, an original or legible copy of the application and other application documents must be submitted for each job for which you are applying.
