Information Technology
The Information Technology (IT) Department is a “service” department, providing critical data, communications and basic
network infrastructure that enables other City departments to deliver services directly to the citizens of Little Rock.
The extensive, enterprise-wide voice and data network supports a wide range of City operations, such as delivering an E911 call for help to a dispatcher, tracking fine payments and court appearances, collecting and analyzing budgets from each department, and processing paychecks to our employees. IT develops and maintains a network that reaches from a City Hall desktop, to a Police car cruising a neighborhood, to the cell phone in a building inspector’s hand or to its mobile user where ever they may be. The IT department plays a critical role in enabling the City to meet the service expectations of our community now, and is constantly evaluating new technologies to enhance service delivery in the future.
IT Mission Statement
