Assistant Chief Carlos Corbin
The City of Little Rock hired Assistant Chief Carlos Corbin January 24, 1983,
as a Police Cadet. Assistant Chief Carlos Corbin served as a police cadet until
October 15, 1984, when he was promoted to the position of patrolman and assigned
to the Patrol Division. Assistant Chief Corbin served in the Patrol Division
until January 9, 1987 when he was transferred to the Special Investigation
Division Vice Unit. Assistant Chief Corbin served on the Vice Unit until May 21,
1990, when he was assigned back to the Patrol Division. Assistant Chief Corbin
remained in the Patrol Division until September 9, 1991when he was promoted the
rank of Sergeant. Assistant Chief Corbin served as a Sergeant in the Patrol
Division and the Detention Center until July 26, 1997, when he was promoted to
the rank of Lieutenant. Assistant Chief Corbin served as a Lieutenant in the
Patrol Division until August 26, 2000, when he was promoted to the rank of
Captain. Assistant Chief Corbin served as the Captain of the Special Operations
Division and as Acting Assistant Chief of Police over the Operations Bureau. On
March 8, 2001, Asst. Chief Corbin was promoted to his current
rank.
Assistant Chief Corbin has served as an Officer
and Supervisor on the Special Response Unit. He has attended numerous Law
Enforcement Schools throughout his career. He has received many letters of
Commendation for outstanding police work during his career.
