5th annual dog paddle party set for Little Rock

Dog Paddle Party Set as Fundraiser for Friends of Paws Parks. There's a party going on and everyone and their dog is invited - literally! The City of Little Rock is hosting a fundraiser for Friends of Paws Parks, a citizens group whose mission is to create leash-free fenced areas in city parks where well-behaved, licensed dogs can run freely, under owners' supervision, in clean, safe environments. Dog owners will be allowed to bring their well-behaved dogs to the Jim Dailey Fitness Center Pool to swim for a fee on Sunday, October 7th from 3:00-5:30 p.m.. Proof of rabies vaccination is required. The dog paddle isn’t recommended for very small dogs. Dogs must be able to be controlled off leash to attend. No intact males or dogs in heat will be allowed entrance to the dog paddle.

Paws Park at Murray - a 2.5-acre plot that serves as Little Rock's first dog park opened on May 22, 2004. Funds raised at the Dog Paddle Party will go to pay for future improvements and ongoing expenses at the park.

Adult dog lovers and well-behaved dogs. Limit of two dogs per human.
Jim Dailey Fitness Center outdoor pool, 300 S. Monroe.
$10 per dog, $15 for two dogs from the same family.
