Employees provide relief for co-workers affected by storm

When: Today, Thursday, May 19, 2011 – 1:45 p.m.
Where: City Hall Rotunda
The generosity of co-workers will be shown this afternoon as donations are given to two City of Little Rock employees who lost their homes in the recent storms. Upon hearing of their losses, City Manager Bruce Moore developed an Employee Emergency Fund as a way to coordinate efforts for all of the people who were expressing a desire to help in some way. Today, checks will be presented to the employees who suffered losses and are trying to get their homes and lives back on track. All of the donations were voluntary and do not include any taxpayer dollars.
