What: Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Fire Station
When: Tuesday, November 1st – 10:00 a.m.
Where: 4500 Rahling Road – corner of Rahling and Taylor Loop


Mayor Mark Stodola will be joined by City Manager Bruce Moore and Chief Gregory Summers to hold an official groundbreaking for the new Little Rock Fire Department Station # 23. This new Station is located in Ward 5 – one of the fastest growing areas in Little Rock.

The City of Little Rock won a competitive grant as a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. $2 million dollars was awarded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Additional funding was provided by the City.

This new state of the art facility will insure that Little Rock maintains an ISO rating of 2 – this rating is used to determine insurance rates.
