The City of Little Rock will host a meeting to brief the public about the new Water Quality Demonstration and Education Project that is funded by the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission. This will also provide an opportunity for citizens to share their ideas with local officials and city staff. The meeting will begin at 4 PM on Monday, August 27, 2012, at the Downtown Little Rock Partnership, Lafayette Building, at 6th and Louisiana Streets in Little Rock.
The project will include work in the 100, 200, 300 and 500 blocks of Main Street to demonstrate the benefits of green infrastructure applications such as porous pavers, tree wells, rain gardens and other water filtration practices to enhance water quality.
